General Festival Questions:

Where can I find all of your events? 

Do I need to pay to attend any events? 

  • Nope! All Wawa Welcome America events are free to the public. However, at select events there will be food and beverage available for purchase, as well as retail vendors from across the city. 

Are there any events specifically geared towards kids? 

Am I able to bring my own food and water to events? 

  • Yes! At any of our outdoor events you will be able to bring your own food and beverage. Small coolers are permitted, but subject to inspection. 

How will I be notified if an event is postponed or canceled?  

  • Our website and social media accounts will be posting any major updates. Be sure to give us a follow! 

When will there be fireworks? 

What am I not allowed to bring to festival events?

  • In coordination with the City of Philadelphia and for the safety of event attendees and staff, the following items are prohibited:
  •  
  •      – Weapons and contraband of any kind regardless of permitting, e.g. Right-to-Carry permits will not be honored, and entry will be denied.
  •  
  •      – Fireworks, firecrackers, or explosives (including sparklers)
  •  
  •      – Open flame of any kind
  •  
  •      – Illegal or illicit substances of any kind
  •  
  •      – Flyers, handbills, posters, stickers (no solicitation allowed)
  •  
  •      – Unauthorized commerce
  •  
  •      – Items that would obstruct others’ view (large signs, banners, etc.)
  •  
  •      – Drones and any other unmanned and remote-controlled devices
  •  
  •      – Skateboards, rollerblades, bicycles, segways, hoverboards, and similar items (not allowed in the event location)
  •  
  •      – Glass Containers
  •  
  •      – Laser pointers
  •  
  •      – Selfie Sticks
  •  
  •      – Any other item or action deemed dangerous or inappropriate by production or security management

July 4th Party On The Parkway & Concert Questions: 

Will there be security? 

  • Yes. In coordination with the City of Philadelphia, enhanced security measures will be taken.    

How can I enter the Party on the Parkway and/or July 4th Concert & Fireworks

  • Entrances can be found at the following locations: 
  •  
  •      – Logan Circle (19th Street & Benjamin Franklin Parkway)
  •  
  •      – 20th Street & Benjamin Franklin Parkway
  •      *Guests are encouraged to enter at Logan Circle

What time should I get to the Parkway? 

  •      – Gates open at 12 PM.
  •  
  •      – Allow extra time for security checks at each entrance point.
  •  
  •      – There will be multiple performances, activities, food trucks and more, so we recommend coming early to experience all of the fun.
  •  
  •      – The concert begins at 7 PM, so we recommend you arrive early to get your spot. General admission / first-come-first-served. 

Do I need a ticket to attend the concert? 

  • Nope! The July 4th Concert is free, open to the public and does not require tickets for entry; however, tickets are required for the front section. 

How do I get tickets for the front section?

  • Thanks to our partnership with the PA Turnpike, you will have the chance to win upfront tickets to the concert by attending the events listed on the image below.
