Opening Summer 2018. The renovation of this historic building will accommodate new, local artisanal vendors alongside neighborhood business with established roots – a true showcase of Philly’s best. Full restoration to the entrances on both 4th and 5th Streets will create lively outdoor seating. Brand new commercial office and coworking space will occupy the upper floors. A thoughtfully curated mix of vendors and designed common areas with communal seating will establish The Bourse as a local and regional destination for food, beverage, and unique retail offerings.

Throughout its lifespan, the Schmidt’s Commons has been home to thousands of events, small and large, local and national. The Piazza is an 80,000 sq. ft. event space sits at the heart of the Commons with a rich history. In 1860 brewmaster Christian Schmidt, C. Schmidt & Sons Brewery planted its stake in Northern Liberties in Philadelphia. After C. Schmidt & Sons went out of business in 2009, the site of the brewery was acquired and transformed into Philadelphia’s sixth public square, surrounded by a mixed-use district of shops, apartments, and office space.
