Hosted by  Aunyea Lachelle & Karen Hua, walk around Philadelphia’s newest attraction The Oval XP at Eakins Oval on the parkway, this immersive experience brings to life pivotal moments of history and tells the stories of influential individuals through diverse voices. Artists from Olive Dance Theatre and We The People Stage will use spoken word, dance, and song to portray personal and historical stories rooted in passionate expressions of freedom. This event features DJs, food trucks, live artistic performances, and interactive activities.

Bri Steves – Hip Hop Artist, Rapper

Atlantic recording artist, got started as a self taught engineer, producer, songwriter in her dorm room at Temple to perform on tour with H.E.R. And opening up for Kendrick Lamar Recently released a project titled “TBH”. Performance presented by Radio One

Olive Dance Theatre – Breakdancers

Their mission is to validate indigenous American hip-hop dance forms, specifically breakin’ more commonly known as breakdance, through the creation and performance of new dance theatre works domestically and abroad.


Marshall James Kavanaugh – Community Poet 

In 2021, Marshall became an Everyday Places Artist Partner with the Barnes Foundation and People’s Emergency Center

Dr. Cathryn Devereaux – Creative Shaper 

Cathryn Devereaux, Assistant Professor of Education at Drew University, is a graduate of Columbia University, filmmaker, playwright, actress, director, wife, and mom.
